A vacation paradise

Einvika Overnatting og Havfiske can offer visitors overnight accommodation in apartments and fishermen’s cabins in Flatanger, Namdalen, Nord Trøndelag County. Where once there was a general store and fish depot during many years – there is now a vacation paradise.

You can now enjoy being close to the ocean and nature in the newly renovated premises that have been converted into apartments providing sleeping accommodation for a total of 55 guests. Standard features in all units include: mini-kitchen, shower, and WC.

Old trading place

Einvika is an old trading place that has been in the Einvik family for generations. Among other things, there used to be a fish reception and shop here for many years. Reidar Einvik opened up for tourists after a couple from Elverum wondered if there was a place they could go to spend their holiday that was close to the sea. Reidar happened to have a small house that was not currently in use. Afterwards that inspired him to turn the previous trading place into a tourist destination.

Restoration

In 1994, we began the work on restoring the old buildings, and in 1995 we were able to receive the first paying guests in Einvika. All rooms were named after what they previously had been used for, such as the Butikken, Venterommet and Ungdomshuset.

Eventually, both Matstua, Ishuset and Brygga were restored and finally Rorbua came into place. Ungdomshuset opposite Einvika was bought and restored and now has a professional kitchen and seats 65 people. Here you can have conferences, confirmations and weddings.

Generation change

In 2020, Reidar had become 75 years old and wanted to pass on the baton to his son Roy Hjalmar. Roy Hjalmar had worked as a chef, a diving instructor and a boat driver several places in Norway. In the autumn of 2020, he took his family with him from Sparbu and moved to Lauvsnes.

Today, Roy Hjalmar's wife Kristin is the general manager of the business. She also works in the upbringing sector in Flatanger municipality, and likes to play a little trumpet when the time is right. Together they have two sons of primary school age who are both avid fishermen, and spend much of their free time in Einvika.
